Bms and open circuit

Dumb question but bare with meif you unplug a part of the wiring
say the tail gate lock for example.would this have any affect on the battery management system?something is pulling the battery down and ford hasnt found the problem and have already changed the battery and didnt help.

Could be a stuck relay. Not very common now days but can still happen with manufacturers defect.
