I love just about everything about this truck, but I hate the bed cover and Ford should be ashamed of themselves.
It just doesn't fit and leaks when it rains. That should never happen on a factory accessory.
I've spoken with them and they are not willing to do anything to help.

Does anyone know if there is a way to fix it, or does anyone have a recommendation of a hard cover that they've installed that seals perfectly?

Sealing the bed cover is one thing, but as many will tell you, the tailgate is a major source of water getting into the bed. I've put a commonly available tailgate gasket around mine that that has helped greatly. It's not 100%, but combined with careful installation of my Lomax Stance bed cover, it's really very good. I have no experience with the Ford cover other than seeing hail damage on one, which reinforced my choice to purchase what I have. It is very low profile, a simple design and made of thicker material than the Ford version,.

The issue is exactly the gate. I installed gaskets to seal the gate, but it doesn't touch the area right at the top where the gate meets the cover. I can see into the bed. Looking at the Lomax cover it seems like that would have the same issue so I'm surprised you say it works.

I recently installed WeatherTech AlloyCover:

I chose this cover because it's removable and I like the low profile design. I intend to only use it from time to time as needed, not on a daily basis. That being said, I did my research and have accepted the fact that none of them are 100% watertight. There are things I can do to minimize water intrusion, and I will address that if it becomes a problem.

Are you referring to the Ford Advantage hard folding back flip tonneau? If properly installed, water does not leak into the bed at all. You may not have it positioned forward or back properly.

It's the hard roll-up cover.

Only ones that I've seen that 100% do not leak are over-the-rail one-piece ones like the UnderCover SE.

Keep in mind that with an over-the-rail bed cover, any sort of condensation or water will drip onto the bedsides and the tailgate, so you'll get noticeable streaks on those surfaces.

That's a bummer, but good to know. Thank you.

You can loosen the mounting bolts at the front and adjust the cover back and forth if you want it to be tight with the tailgate.

But you have to be realistic, tonneaus will never be perfectly weather-tight
I did not realize that. Thank you.

An over-the-rail bed cover is more like the failproof option. And I'm not sure if an over-the-rail is available for the Maverick. Plenty of folks have tri-fold or roll-up tonneaus that don't leak a drop. There's just a higher chance for them to eventually spring a leak.
