Hello everyone. I tried installing bed lighting on my 24 Tremor using the available 12V connection. The initial trial connection was a success with lights turning on. Upon finalizing, the lights no longer turned on. Had a buddy test the connection and it was not reading on his voltmeter. My question is, which fuse panel would it be, in the engine compartment or in the cab, and which fuse number? Please forgive my ignorance, and thank you.

One thing I noticed is that the 12V connection is a bit funky with regards to when it is hot. Try starting the truck, turning it off and then checking if the lights work. I too swapped the fuse but it turned out the real issue is re: when the bed port is actually on.

I did the same thing you did, but when I put everything back together, the light wouldn’t come on after turning it on 🤷🏻‍♂️.

What sure would be nice to have is a definitive guide to these 12V pre-wired connections. Pg 453 of the manual provides only a bit of insight with regards to how/when they are hot.

For example, I just walked out and tried my bed lights; nothing. Then I started the Mav (from inside the truck, not via the fob) and the bed lights work just fine. Turn off the truck? No bed lights. Go back in and push the Start button to turn on full accessory power? Bed lights.

What I gather is that they don’t want these ports always hot, for fear of draining the battery down entirely. But why not just have a timer on this connection for that very reason?

Seems odd that we have to power up the truck to make this connection hot; don’t need to do that with the push-button LED in the corner of the bed…

There is a timer but whatever you want on must be on when truck is turned off. It will turn off early if 12 volt is below 12.1 volts.
