I call BULLSHIT.....a Detroit area Ford Dealer will literally get BUTCHERED by doing that...That will circulate like wildfire and they would pay for that dearly.

I DID get A plan in Port Huron for my Maverick.

What dealer???? I will call them up and let them know my thoughts....then leave a JUSTIFIED review if it is true.
Village Ford Dearborn, home town of Henry Ford lol

If your FIL RETIRED from Ford, you get Z plan which is the SAME as A plan, just the retired employee pricing...and you really just have to tell the dealer any time you have "A/Z plan", but your FIL needs to call ford and get a PIN NUMBER for you for the dealer. He gets (5) per year.
Are you aware that when you all caps it gives the impression youre yelling those specific words lol

Speaking of dealerships not honoring various plans. My nephew bought a new F150 last year in FL and the dealership outright told him they wouldn't accept the employee discount. If it weren't for the fact there's virtually no vehicles to choose from, I'd have told him to go elsewhere.
And speaking of employee discounts, Ford's offering to dealership employees kind of sucks. We're the ones who jump through the hoops to assist the customer's when their vehicle's break down -- making or breaking Ford's reputation as well as our own. We're the ones who jump through all the hoops Ford put in place to order parts, causing us to waste hours a week to get nowhere. And we're the ones getting called by Ford Customer "Circus" to ask what we're doing to assist the customer's repairs when it's Ford who hasn't shipped the part in the six months the customer's vehicle has been sitting on out lot rotting away despite our jumping through all the hoops they demanded of us to secure the parts faster.

Okay, end of my rant.... They just need to get on the ball!

Yes, but dealers in Michigan and Florida are two different kinds...in Michigan, at least half of sales, I would suspect are A/Z plan...word would get out fasttttt and they would take a beating.

True that if they elected to buck making programs sales they could take a beating, but it's not like they'd be losing money either by taking them. There are potential sales over the life of the vehicle within the service department which could offset any expected "loss" on the actual sale of the vehicle. There are also potential sales from those employee's families too, so they could end up losing a lot by choosing not to do those sales. Additionally, there are potential sales of accessories after the purchase that could be lost if they buy somewhere else.
What could be a hassle though is if Ford decided to audit those sales and demand verification for those sales -- marriage licenses, birth certificates... and I have heard of that being done. After all, they are only eligible under certain criteria, and you aren't supposed to offer them to your neighbors, friends, or even a third cousin.

I work for AMR subsidiary American Eagle at a heavy MTX base. We get X plan but it's up to the dealer if they want to accept it. I ordered my truck from Granger Ford on that $3000 off MSRP deal. My local dealer would not do X plan on the Maverick, then I found the Granger deal here and walked away from my local dealer. It will take me a couple hours to fly to Iowa to pick it up. $3k was a lot better deal than X plan would have been. This being said, when I get mine home, i plan to let the wife try it out and see if she likes it. If so i may see if Granger will honor X plan, and I will fly up there to get another one.

I know that the X plan for shareholders is being discontinued this year. I have set up ordering a 23 XL from Tim AT Long MacArthur with an X plan number - will see if it is valid by the time the truck comes in - I am at ease knowing no matter what happens those guys are honest.
I applaud your decision to trust @fordvideoguy and his very capable sales team with your 2023 XL. I'll also caution you by saying Ford made the decision to stop accepting X plan PIN's (shareholders only) for customers who take delivery after 12-31-2022.

Thats interesting - in their email they said it would be good for one year until April of 2023. Either way - the discount isn't earth shattering anyway. I could have also gone fleet as I have a Fleet number but again the fleet dealer is a piece of work around here. Im done dealing with scumbags.

My dad worked for 30+ years at the Atlanta assembly plant (it closed years ago), so I used to get A Plan, then Z plan, now he is passed, but my brother in law works at Kentucky Truck plant, so I can get the A Plan again. I told my dealer, they wrote it up with the A Plan price on the papers when I ordered, i got a PIN thinking I would use it before it expired. Over a year later still no Maverick and my PIN will expired before truck gets here, so now I am waiting for truck to be built and on its way to dealer before I get a new PIN. Getting a PIN is easier now, my brother in law just sponsors me and I have my own login to the AZ Plan site and can get my own. Back in the day, my dad had to go and apply for the A Plan papers and we had to take the papers to the dealer...

If a family member or someone else has Power of Attorney for her, maybe they can do it for her. God Bless your family and her.
