Bang & Olufsen system factory door speakers. I bought two “upgrade” speakers but could not hear a difference. I assume the upgrade units they sell are to upgrade the standard Ford system.

These work perfectly.

$60.°° shipped to lower 48 states
Pick up in Chicago $50

The pictures show the exact speakers for sale. The picture with the “X” over it shows the standard (small magnet) speaker for the standard factory system

Yep, the "X" out one is my stock speakers. I would buy yours, but I got my eyes on a set with built-in tweeter.

That’s what I bought. It MIGHT BE me, but I couldn’t hear a difference.

There is a write up about what you are going through. Some have installed amps to push the front speakers. I have already installed an amp for the front speakers. Also, you have to go into the stock head unit settings and push the treble and midrange bars all the way. Others have put in resistors. I know with mine, I will get a better sound because my system wasn't the Bang system. I now have an amp for the front speakers and a 10" powered woofer for the rear and because of this, the clarity is more balanced all around and I rarely have to turn up the volume past 14.

Thanks for the tip.
I did adjust the treble and midrange bars. That made a minuscule improvement. All things said, I might as well have kept the originals. These MIGHT BE a tad more crisp
No big deal. I accept the results.
Thanks again

I installed some Focal component speakers with dash tweeter. did not notice much improvement till I added an amp for the front speakers and a powered 8" sub behind rear seat. Also, the line output converter had a x-over to remove the low bass from the front speakers. Now I think it sounds great. very pleased with it.

Let me begin by saying, on my best day, I’m no audiophile. I’ll confess I don’t understand most of what you described. (ME, not you 😀)
I’m just a person that was hoping to make a system I already liked, better.
I’m guessing you were starting out with the B&O system.?.?
For those that don’t have a B&O system….
I’m sure it’s safe to assume these speakers would be a BIG improvement over the speakers that come from the factory with the standard Ford Maverick system.
Agree?
