Ever watch "stupid videos" on YouTube? There are way too many of them showing air heads walking away from their cars, and the cars go sailing away on their own. The auto park thing is just another example of building products to the level of the dumbest consumer. Sort of like putting stickers on batteries warning the buyer to DO NOT DRINK the contents.
The rest of us just unlucky enough to live in their world. :)
Yes it's just like the warning on the lawnmower chute that says to not insert your hand when it's running, too many warnings, sometime we just need to let natural selection work things out!

I guess it depends on what the car determines is stationary. To that end, I've never had this issue. But I usually don't take my seatbelt off until I put it into park myself, or I move the car with the door open just as I sit in it. So, neither situation applies to the above.
What! You mean when (if) I get my maverick I have to wear my seat belt? Hell..anyone want to buy a maverick?
