So I know some of us find the stock XL/XLT sound system to be lacking. I've considered for some time different ways to upgrade or improve the sound quality. Not looking for anything major but an improvement. I've been on a road trip this past two weeks and visited my mom's place at the tail end of the trip only to discover in her garage a pair of Pioneer 6x9's that I had back in college or high school. They are three way speakers (tweeters, mids and base), fully enclosed/boxed up as individual speakers. I know the B&O system has an amp and a 6x9 behind the rear seat to boost the base. So you can probably start to see where I'm going here. If the 6x9's fit behind the rear seat, could I get a low power amp on the cheap, tap into the rear speaker lines and run these 6x9's behind the rear seat? I've tested both speakers and they look and run great and appear to have significantly more power than the current Maverick speakers. Just a thought for a cheap upgrade with hopefully an easy install and minimal costs associated with it. Thoughts??
