Audio Glitch on Maverick

This happened a few weeks ago and I managed to get it on video. It wouldn’t make any other noise. I turned the car off and it was fine after. A few days ago I was making a call and this time all audio dropped and it wouldn’t let me change any settings or turn the audio on the vehicle on or off. I need to get this looked at I blame it on the whole chip shortage but not good. I would even be willing to upgrade to a full sync or whatever

The radio has all sorts of problems. I have had my Maverick almost 3 weeks and I think the radio has worked correctly one time. It locks up, won't tune to any station with the knob or buttons. I haven't taken it back to the dealer yet because I don't want it to sit there for weeks if there is no fix. It's pretty rediculous. You are going to have problems with first year vehicles, but not even being able to listen to the radio is one I would never have thought of.

I know that’s my fear. I wouldn’t be against upgrading to a sync 3 or whatever but it’s just annoying. I would like to upgrade the audio but if it’s doing this what’s the point. It’s only done it once and a restart on the vehicle fixes it but still

I'm going to say it again. All the more reason I miss a replaceable head-unit. I've had buggy substandard factory systems before and replaced with aftermarket and been a happy camper.
I know there are vehicle settings made on the infotainment screen, but there are interface options to maintain that capability (e.g. Idatalink).
