Anyone Know What’s Under Here

Hey y’all,

I am currently trying to install a 1500watt inverter in my 2022 ford maverick XL awd and am trying to find a place to mount it. Right now I kinda like the idea of putting it under my rear seat and cutting some vent holes just so it’s out of the sun since I live in AZ. But I am unsure what is underneath and don’t want to just go drilling through stuff. My question is does anyone know what’s under there can I drill there. Any and all recommendations are welcome as I am still trying to come up with how to mount it properly.


in the photo the blue arrow points to the inverter and the red circles are the vent holes I will be cutting in that side cubby gap thing then placing in a mesh cover.

Prior post from another member that has done a back seat removale . Lots of images that may answer your concerns

There is a post somewhere on here where someone cut that plastic down to allow under seat access without lifting the seat. I would keep looking before drilling, but I don’t believe anything is there.
