Any experience removing impact bar?

Hey everyone,

I just bought my XLT Ford Maverick. I got it at an amazing price because it had some rear end damage. I’m looking to buy a rear bumper but was also wondering if anyone has removed the rear impact bar and if it’s easy to remove/replace?
Also, what is everyone’s recommendations on buying parts for the Maverick? eBay? Ford dealerships? Any help is much appreciated!

I lucked out and found a local dealership that also has an online parts website with pricing comparable to the other online parts dealers. I place the order online and two days later I drive the short distance and pick it up will call and avoid any shipping costs!

In your case shipping for that bumper could be very expensive due to both the weight and size, so finding a discounted parts dealer close to you that offers will call pick up would save you $$.

One happy tremor has a good deal . If no local online dealer close . Just go in and ask to set up an account in parts dept. see if you can negotiate . If you tell them you’ll be a regular a lot of times you can use your name or a business name to get 20% or more off .
rear crash bar not hard to swap out , hardest part will be unsnapping black plastic from rear fenders and all the 7 mm hardware. From there it’s just the bolts.
dealer for parts is probably best or you‘ll have to do it twice if you even find one at a pull your own part yard. eBay will be overpriced because of shipping . check dealer price with discount you will be suprised how cheap some parts are.
just don’t break your headlights or the radiator surround plastic shroud or the windshield.
