Installed the BAK X4s yesterday on my 24 Maverick with DIBL. Purchased from Real Truck on Black Friday and got a fantastic price.
After some test fits for rails I ended up leaving the small pads on the front of the rails on, directions said to take them off with DIBL. Had seen several posts on forum regarding rails being a bit to short. Made sure I pushed the rails as far forward as possible to compress the pads a bit. The rails fit with about 1/8th to 3/16th gap between the rail and the tailgate. Doubt I could get them any closer without tailgate banging into rail. When I close tailgate it does compress the weather seal on cover just a bit. There is less that 1/4 inch between the cover and the rear window at the bulkhead. Did take some extra time to make sure the cover was square and rolled in the rail well. Looks like a perfect fit to me. Has only been on a day so cannot speak to water intrusion yet.
