Anyone installed an aftermarket heads up display?
My wife's Santa Fe has it and after a long trip I was impressed.
I see lots of options on Amazon for cheap but can't tell what's junk and what's a gem.

Never driven a vehicle with heads up display. Would be kind of nice to have. If you ever find a good one, let us know how it works for you. Would think more vehicles would have the option calling it a safety feature.

Just skimming over reviews on Anazon and looks like most of those either plug into the ODBII port or use a phone app for reference. The OBDII types also provide a tac, fuel mileage, water temp, voltage, etc while the others just provide MPH.
Biggest complaints seem to be lag with MPH or being off although they all have a calibration adjustment.

Temu has a good selection of HUDs. I paid about $20 for mine. I don't recall the brand, but It uses the USB for power and satellite for mph. Very accurate, occasionally off by no more than 1 mph. The OBDI port connection was not recommended for the hybrid, but of course since you have the EB, that's not much of a concern for you.

There's a thread on the forum with more information about 3rd party HUD's. My Lariat has the digital speed on the display, but I opted for the HUD for the same safety feature you mentioned. I got a bit spoiled having one on our Hyundai. There are two methods of connecting; using the OBDI port or the simpler USB. You get more features with connecting with the OBDI port, but with the hybrid it wasn't recommended due to glitching problems. I have the USB and am very satisfied with it.
