Ford's tracking email still says that my truck is on a rail car somewhere, but I got a call last week from the dealer that the elusive unicorn had finally arrived.
After six days, I'm not feeling too inconvenienced by the wait, even though I was terrified that the wheels were going to fall off my '08 focus before delivery. My salesperson went out of his way to keep me up to date, and treated me fairly throughout (Erich Phillips of Metro Ford, Independence MO).
I find myself driving the hybrid like Super Grandpa, and I've been rewarded for my efforts with 45mpg thus far. I feel like I am now uniquely qualified to display a specially chosen digit to the folks at OPEC... ;-)

My only (mild) complaint right now is that I have to re-select driving modes each time I start her up. As a cheap old man, I just want to keep it in "Eco."
