I mounted the bar closer to back of truck but you can put the bar any where you want to.The bar was heavy duty but you can buy one cheaper. I paid with taxes for the bar was 54.64 and the net was 35.93 on EbayGood idea! If you put somethings in the netting perhaps you could also items between the filled netting and the tailgate (ie like groceries, etc).
I imagine you can install the bar almost anywhere in the bed, did you mount it within the Flexbed slots for the wood planks or ???
What did the rachet bar and netting cost you?
On Ebay the bar is heavy duty and was 54.64 included taxesWhere did you get them and what did they cost? I am looking at buying a ratchet bar.

For $27.47 on Amazon I got the Reese Ratcheting Cargo Bar. It has rubber ends and fits perfect to hold grocery tubs in the back. You can even get a piece of slit pipe insulation for the bars, or slit an old pool noodle. Also the bar can be removed in a few seconds and is adjustable enough to hold items from front to back in the bed too.Where did you get them and what did they cost? Yeah, a ratcheting cargo bar is on my must have list. Both harbor freight and home depot carry something similar. I'll check out the amazon one, too.
