Ford Maverick Adding oem BLIS to a truck that doesn’t have it. IMG_4529

Wiring for 2022 model. I’m not sure if hybrid/petrol has any difference or if 2025 has any updates.

Cost wise this can be more expensive than getting the Copilot 360 package. If you are buying a new truck or even used just get with the package. Now in my case I have a 2022 without it that I am looking into adding this and the reason is to trade up to a new vehicle with CP360 is not worth it for me with price increases. Spending the money on the truck since I am keeping it is the more cost effective way to add this feature now.

I learned to drive back in the 60's with not fancy sensors, Copilot or package... I’m fascinated.

They don't but the wiring is different if the truck has door modules aka DDM and PDM modules. Also vehicles with these modules like high end Lariats and maybe any models that have power mirrors should also be of capable trailer tow coverage as long as they have a tow hitch, trailer light connector and trm module.

If you signal, use your mirrors correctly and check blind spots then yeah this stuff is not necessary but let's face it lots of people these days don't. I am all for darwinism but not when I am the target for them to lane change into.

The parts beside wiring needed are the following and it is much cheaper to get them off of ebay and for the mirrors get aftermarket ones with the blis led and heating options already built in.

2 sensors
part# NZ6Z-14C689-A

2 mounting brackets
left side
part# NZ6Z-140189-A
right side
part# NZ6Z-140189-B

Mounting bracket screws if not included

2 blis mirror assemblys using aftermarket parts just verify they are for a Maverick and your make and model.

Wiring it will depending if the harnesses have the pigtail connectors and wires in the harness else you will get the appropriate pigtails and make your own wiring.

Hey all. Really appreciate the input. Yes def not necessary but this kind of tinkering is what forums are for. Idk if you saw the mustang link above but feel like it will be/should be similar for the mav too!

Few things. I’m a tinker so there’s really no other good reason for this. I was originally aiming for a xl with 360 as I really wanted power mirrors. But ended up finding a XLT at a way better price a couple of hours away. Have also seen a few XLT with 360 but otd was not worth it for this. Also the 360 name change that took place sort of caught me off guard. I got a good deal buying what’s on the lot and really happy with my purchase.

Rn, I’m really trying to learn the system. It will actually be more cost effective if all I need are the pig tails, brackets, and radar sensors. Anything beyond that will probably make this not worth it.

I did look through aftermarket in case this is no go. And that is looking like $600 for the entire system. Voxx by gentex. https://www.voxxelectronics.com/our-products/VOXXADAS-ADVBSD30
It will be the closest thing to OEM but this approach won’t be integrated to the trucks system which is preferred. I’m not in a hurry either. If i really abandon this effort I’ll def mention it here.

DDM and PDM
Yeah I need to learn more about this. Guessing these are behind the rear seats?

1000% parked parallel and backed up perfectly without cameras or anything extra, driven so many manual cars as well. Yes I’m fascinated.
