Hello All!
I just added a pair of D-Rings to the bed of my XL, because the XL does not come with them I've learned. I first looked at the FORD part numbers and did a search for prices. It was easily over $50 for Ford parts. I did the whole thing for about $22.
I bought the D-rings from AutoZone for $7.99 for both, the 4 bolts for $2.36 from Lowes, and the tap/drill bit for $9.00 also from Lowes. Add tax and it's just over $22.

The install took about 20 minutes. I did not need to drill the holes out. The tap fit in nicely and the threads came out great. I did stick a piece of wire coat hanger down the holes to make sure I wasn't hitting anything first. I cut a couple of short pieces of plastic gas line to keep the Rings quiet too. Then it was just screw the bolts in and done! View attachment 185505
