A couple question about an XL Model

Does the XL models have an electric outlet in rear of truck box. If so, what voltage is at that receptacle?

Also, does the XL come with just a key or does it have a fob?

One more question. With the 4K tow pck. what area of the truck are different than just the standard 2K tow pck?

The XL model does not include the outlet in the box. Both of the flex box side panels are just blank. It doesn’t even include the little storage bin.

The xl and xlt models have a normal key with the flip out blade that we’ve seen in ford trucks for a while now.

The 4K tow package includes 225/65R17 tires for XL and XLT trims (Lariat already comes equipped with 225/60R18 tires), a 2-inch trailer hitch receiver, seven-pin trailer wiring plug, an integrated trailer brake controller, transmission oil cooler, an upgraded radiator, upgraded cooling fan, and numerically lower axle gears (3.63:1 is standard, while the 4K Towing package drops to 3.81:1).

The XL & XLT have a regular metal key that folds into the fob like a pocket knife folds up for storage. The fob has buttons to lock & unlock the truck. And an annoying panic button that some people have problems with accidentally setting off in their pocket. Fortunately, I haven't had that problem yet.

All Mavericks have remote start available in the optional smartphone app. But if you want the speed & convenience of remote start using your key fob, you can add remote start with a $100 $120 plug & play remote start adapter like Start-X.

4K package requires AWD. Significant differences in components vs. 2WD with 2,000 lbs towing.

Another question. So, how much weight would be a safe weight to carry in the box of an XL which has the 4K towing. I'm saying that option would not mean anything since I'm wondering how much weight it would haul in box of truck.

1500 lbs. in the bed. Doesn't matter whether it is a: Hybrid, EcoBoost, FWD or AWD. This is according to 2022 Maverick technical specifications. I have not found tech specs for 2023 or 2024 models yet.

1500 lbs is the total payload which includes the driver. So you can put 1500 lbs in the bed, but you can't then get in the truck and drive it. Well you can, but you're overloaded.

I stand corrected! I read it off of the sheet and then typed it wrong on here. We have a Subaru that is the same: Subtract weight of all passengers (even kids in car seat and weight of car seat!)

I see the 100A is an item listed on the build sheet for the 2024 I ordered. A price of >2K and apparently this is not an option to not wanting that listed item. It is a standard item and have no choice but to have it. Right?
