2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid on Order

Happy Holidays Everyone.

My name is Don and I live in Maryland near Washington DC.
In late October I ordered a 2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid.
I chose Carbonized Gray Metallic.
My only add was the 4K Tow Package.

My build date is scheduled for the week of January 6th so I am expecting to take delivery in early February.
I am the owner of a 2009 Ford F-150 and WISH I had known a few issues (mainly rust concerns) when it was new.
So I am compiling a list of issues, concerns, tips etc. to maximize the life and performance of my new Maverick.

So far I have heard about a few issues that are on my radar.

• No Homelink Garage Door opener.
  • Kinda cheezy but I will just use the button one that I already have.
• Potential Battery Sleep Issues
  • I am getting some conflicting information but several people have posted that the 2025 Hybrids are coming with the AGM battery.
  • I know that is not a 100% solution but it will lessen the issue.
• 17" spare with 19" tires
  • Turns out that it is a 215/70R17 and it will be almost EXACTLY the same assembled size as the stock 225/55R19
  • Therefore I am fine with this. I knew it ahead of time.
• Ground clearance
  • I don't off road much, but I do want keep this in mind.
  • I read that there are some really cheezy plastic panels on the undercarriage
• I fear that a Power Sliding Back Window is an example of an improvement in search of a problem.
  • I look forward to repair issues there.
• I have a feature in the list called an "Acoustic Windshield" WTF
  • What is that?!??
• I want to know WHAT items will the dealer be installing upon arrival.
  • I am assuming the front license plate bracket will be one of them.
  • Any others that you think are a part of Dealer Prep/PDI?
  • I would rather do these tasks myself.

Things I am excited about are

• 400W Inverter (Cab + Bed Incl Cubby Cover) w/USB Console Rear
• Trailer Hitch (Class III) 2” Receiver w/ 4-pin and 7-pin Connector
• 4K Tow Package

Things I need to learn about (Not a techie)

• Ford Co-Pilot360™ Assist 2.0
• Connected Navigation
• SYNC® 4 with Enhanced Voice Recognition
• What the heck is FORScan?

I want to hear from anyone with even the first signs of rust on their Maverick.
