Depends. The FWD rear suspension could be called 'too simple' in that it lacks a panhard bar or watt's link for lateral locating.
Doesn't need to be complex. F-150 still has leaf springs and a solid axle. Hauls and tows way more.

Well this is pretty old but did you get your questions answered?
I have the closest thing to a compiled service manual & electrical schematic for 2025 hybrid AWD its everything pulled from Fords subscription online portal 700mb pdf about, trying to remember page# it's 1400-3000ish pages a lot of reading & great diagrams but still horrid pdf index I'm slowly working on it.

Guess you heard the AWD is a mechanical PTU off the hybrid-electric drive, coupled to a driveshaft & mechanical diff at rear.
I haven't begun to read all of it, I believe I have docs for every option you could put on the 2.5l engine & hybrid HF55 eCVT(electric transmission) but the indexing is still a mess for 70% of it.
Alot of it would just help you tell the Ford tech what to do like reprogramming the immobilizer for new keys or manually installing an update through OBD2 it's all with Fords proprietary apps

2025 hybrid has a larger capacity hybrid drive HF55 but honestly what's shocking looking at HF35, 45, 55 casing & motor-generator stators is how similar they look - actually the RAV4 hybrid drive and HF35 disassembled are difficult to tell apart immediately if you can't see the part#s there's a lot of shared engineering but with HF55 Ford & Toyota split on the AWD Toyota went all in for small assist motors on rear wheels

Anyone have access to actual details on the ‘25 hybrid AWD drivetrain? Im really interested in seeing what’s been changed as far as the eCVT and drive to the rear wheels. Is there a second motor for the rear or did they actually send a driveshaft/ torque tube to a rear diff?

So many questions. Thanks
