I drive the speed limit. When you’re not in electric mode, let off the throttle and then ease back into it and it should kick to electric mode. You can do that fairly often, which greatly improves your mileage.

Well, I was rear ended at a stop light this evening. Wasn't a terribly hard impact, but dude stayed on the gas peddle for a bit and pushed me into the car in front of me, so there is damage on both ends

Rear bumper impact was mainly on the tow hitch, but its smashed in around the license plate. Front bumper is knocked out of alignment, multiple dents, and sagging. Hood and fender are also misaligned now. I'm sure there's some damage behind the panels that isn't visible at the moment.

New cars seem like they attract accidents... a few months after purchasing my last new vehicle an older gentleman too busy chatting up his passenger to pay attention to the road ran a stop sign and t-boned me. Minor cosmetic damage, but my brand new vehicle carried a scar for the next 20 years. Since he tried to lie about the accident, my vehicle has also carried a dash camera for the last 20 years as well.

Hoping my Maverick will avoid a similar fate...

Just rolled over 32,000 miles. Tinted the windows, installed a dash cam, and the DeeZee tailgate assist.
