I took hitch off my order to (hopefully) get it to scheduling faster, only added it in the first place because at $100, why not? I don't need one, but who knows down the road. If I do, I want THAT guy in the video installing it. Don't trust my local $8 an hour yokels down at the U-Haul!

was really thinking about taking mine off too. I’m nervous to mess with order. Did you get another email confirming changes after dealer updated order? not sure how it works when changes made. or they just give you updated order sheet?

No email updates from Ford, just your confirmation from your dealer when you make changes to an existing order.

When I added the Panoramic Vista Roof to my Escape, my salesman confirmed the addition by email and sent the updated Preview Order report showing the change and new pricing (same price level, price protection unaffected for future price increases).

Yeah, my dealer just confirmed the change. I did specifically ask him to make the change ONLY if it wouldn't affect my order, place in the mythical line, etc.

I have been reading something about hitches being a restraint item? I hope my XL Hybrid is still coming with the 2K hitch added accessory because I would hate to have to install this.

If your dealer will e-mail you the updated order sheet that would be the best. Keep it if you need to call Ford CS, You will need order code and sales code if you call Ford CS for future updates.

I'll leave the factory hitch on my order. It's a bargain. I expect I have at least 50% chance of getting a hybrid Maveric during the next 12 months.
