On the south bound half, set speed on 65-80 MPH, while 60-75 MPH on north bound. In between, about 400 Miles on lower speed on local or local highway. Used 87 gas all the time. For the whole trip, got 30.1 MPG.
I haven't driven long distance for a few years. I didn't feel tired for the 500-600 mile non-stop drive (only stopped once for gas on each way). I think it is the benefit of adaptive cruise control. Otherwise, the right leg and shoulders would have pain.
Maverick is not the quietest vehicle. But when the tarmac is not rough and the music is turned on, it's not much problem.
The trip goes through 8 states. But I only saw one other Maverick once. It's in a parking lot in Asheville, NC on Saturday, 25th. A white XLT with FX4 package.
after returning home, it took the first wash to get rid of the dead bugs and pollen.
