They are a common sight in the Detroit Metro area, especially this time of year, for all the manufacturers. It's fun to get a peek at what's coming.

It looks like there were two trucks, I see Texas plates in some pictures and Michigan in others. Also different drivers.

I just realized the brickwork sign looked familiar. Here's where they were:

The pictures with brick road edging were likely the roundabout at the corner of Geddes and Superior Rds, a short distance to the east.

Hyundai-Kia has a technical center on Geddes Rd. I don't know of any local Toyota development centers though.
