actually as I think about it, I bet you could mount a plate across the bed and bolted under the first two bed tie downs as they're supposed to be very heavy duty, and mount a winch to that plate...

depending on weight, you could probably use a winch mounted to a 2x6 in the bed divider spots :cool: I kinda considered that idea as well for pulling a deer in :ROFLMAO:

So I'm considering a small ATV winch on a trailer hitch to assist with jobs I sometimes need to do. IE pull out the dock for winter at the cottage, pull logs to clear the trail, or firewood, assist a stuck friends crossover, or get my trailer unstuck. Anyone look at using something like this...

Not too worried about cargo space. Most camping trips are either minimalist (IE out of a kayak, or out of a backpack) or are out of the teardrop camper. In that case I have all the cargo space of the bed, and the camper as well. Thanks for the idea though!
