F.Y.I. If you find it difficult for back seat passengers to fasten the seat belts it is because the latch doesn't extend very far from the seat bottom. Ford offers (free of charge ) seatbelt extenders . You can find that info on page 48 of your 2023 maverick owners manual . I hope this helps...
