Strut tower brace opinion?

I would like your opinion / opinions on installing a Strut tower brace on my Mav . I have not heard much talk about it .
I don't plan on doing any off roading . We live in the city ,and most of the driving will be around town .

You did say your not going to off road the Maverick. I don't see any reason to install one. Didn't know there was an aftermarket one for the Maverick. The brace would be right at the strongest point by the firewall and probably won't do much unlike a 5.0 Mustang where a brace would counteract the torgue and body twist of the V8.

imho those are more suited to on road than off road. installed one on my 95 SVT.
off roaders like flex even disconnecting sway bars to that end.

There is a youtuber (cs921x ) that has several videos about his maverick , one of them is the Strut install.

I have the steeda strut tower bar installed, installed it a few weeks before my lowering springs and rear sway bar and those few weeks it seemed a bit stiffer but nothing really too noticeable.

Unless you’re getting one for cosmetics, a non hinged strut brace (solid) will be more beneficial.

For me it was an inexpensive item to ad, with nearly 280lb of torque from the EB, I thought it to be a good idea might help keep things from twisting a bit when you get on it. I used to drive a make of cars in the 90's & early 2000's that were all V-8 front drivers & the earlier 240lb of torque cars didn't have a strut brace, but when they got to 250-300lb of torque, they had them from the factory.

Steeda bar leaves a lot to be desired IMHO. No preload, single coupling point with a M8 bolt in the shear plane. Part is mostly for looks. Will hopefully be fabricating on up soon.

Yes, I designed that brace in the picture and will be hopefully making it tomorrow.

If this works out nicely I may make some extra's along with some other suspension related components.

I put one on my hybrid and I feel the drive is smoother on turns, hard to explain just feels stronger when making turns.
