Good info thank you. So, if I ordered today for example and my Lariat wasnāt scheduled to be built until February, would adding ptba become an option or would it be built with it or without it automatically?
āPrice protectionā is for increases in price within the same model year. For example the 2024 XL trim went up by 400ish dollars in December 23. If you had an order in for a 2024 XL before that price hike, then you are in theory price protected. āPrivate offersā were year over year transition...
Running into this problem at my dealer, The Ford Store in Morgan Hill, CA. They say itās Fordās job to offer same model year price protection and Ford says they donāt know anything haha. Is it on the dealer to honor price protection at time of sale? And do they get reimbursed from Ford? I could...
Got a base cactus XL hybrid coming soon too! So excited. Question about yours, you got the private offer I assume, what is the price protection from December you speak of? Is that in Smart Vincent or whatever? My dealer in NorCal says all I have showing is the private-transition offer. Curious...
I was thinking about this very thing the other day! Went on autotrader and filtered by highest mileage and zoomed in on the seat pics whenever I found an XL listed with good pictures. They all looked pretty dang good! Some had about 80k miles already.
So, someone help me understand. VINs arenāt produced sequentially? Theyāre all over the place, Iām 39xxx on 2/19 and thereās 50xxx in January. I had no idea!
Iām beyond shook that it finally happened!

Iām in a bit of a similar boat. Dealer says 80 allocations for hybrids in ā24 with 140 hybrid carryover orders. Iām sticking with hybrid but I wish I could dealer shop, but Ford says carryover orders have to be placed w original ā23 order dealer. Frustrating. @Ford Motor Company do you have a...
@fordvideoguy I have a ā23 order and was told the $500 price increase mid model year would be price protected. Is that still a thing or are we eating the $500 now? I havenāt been able to figure out all the math but to put it more simply: my base ā23 XL hybrid was ordered at $23690. Is that still...

My sales guy at the dealer I ordered from - who seems pretty on it - just told me that hybrids are now for customer orders only, dealers will not get any further allotment. Any voracity to that? Is that a new thing, if so?
