  1. 2.0 EcoBoost Performance Tunes?

That's the first thing I fixed on our Maverick and Ranger.
  2. Lightweight rims and tires.

I'm betting most here know that a wider wheel and stickier [and properly sized] tire will improve handling. That's where the username came from, yes. I haven't had an SHO for many years and the only thing I do with one now is tune the fastest one in the world.
  3. Lightweight rims and tires.

Some of us here are racers and also have fun street cars.
  4. 6 month Brembo brakes review, and half spirited how to!

You can calculate your brake bias here: https://www.tceperformanceproducts.com/bias-calculator/ Also, if you want to return the front bias, you can use a more aggressive pad up front. When it comes to those calipers, if you did not use anti-seize on the mounting bolts, go back and put some on...
  5. my 93 octane fuel costs $2.45/gal

Opinions don't matter. If you take the time to understand what causes issues, you can avoid them.
  6. my 93 octane fuel costs $2.45/gal

It's hygroscopic so a fuel leak (read: carb) will result in water absorption. In a proper fuel system that is sealed well, it's fantastic. I've been running E85 in many of my cars for like 15 years or so. Currently have two cars and one RZR on ethanol. If I had local stations that were...
  7. 2023 Maverick Ecoboost, AWD, 4k street build

Did my 3rd oil change on the truck today, with just a little over 5k miles on the oil (12k on the truck). I did take a sample to send in to see how the Motul 300v is doing for this engine and our usage. I still have a small oil leak at the front of the engine. I cleaned it up on the last oil...
  8. Oil Leak at 5500

I did another oil change today and noticed more oil that has leaked. I used my snake camera and it looks like it's coming from the turbo oil feed.
  9. What does this do?

Apparently some of you came over straight from crank windows.
  10. $40K- the new norm?

I was being facetious. I consider both the Maverick and Ranger a truck.
  11. $40K- the new norm?

Today, I learned that my Ranger is not a truck.
  12. COBB TUning Accessport for 2.0L Maverick!!!

To be fair, I only had to change a single value. Full tunes aren't generally THAT quick. :) It is interesting that it didn't default to AS/S off as that's literally what the value I changed states that it does. But that is why I offered to have someone try it out. :)
  13. COBB TUning Accessport for 2.0L Maverick!!!

Since there are many version of the same tune for these, I'll need you to pull your current map off your AP and send it to me. This just saves the hassle of going through and matching/guessing. All I will do is turn ASS off and send it back.
  14. COBB TUning Accessport for 2.0L Maverick!!!

If someone running an OTS map wants to try a modified OTS map to turn off ASS and see if it stays, I'll make that adjustment so you can test. I've always just used FORSCAN, so I haven't bothered testing to see if it stays.
  15. 2.5L Hybrid Engine - 20% Ethanol Experiment

I don't like gas in my alcohol, but...
  16. 2.5L Hybrid Engine - 20% Ethanol Experiment

I wish we had a n E30 pump around here. I'd run it in our Maverick and Ranger... But without a fairly consistent source, I don't want to be mixing. I already mix E50 for my Saturn Sky Redline and my RZR XP Turbo. My turbo S2000 is on a Haltech ECU, so I have a FlexFuel sensor hooked up to it...
  17. COBB TUning Accessport for 2.0L Maverick!!!

The map on the ECU. I tune cars...
  18. COBB TUning Accessport for 2.0L Maverick!!!

My ASS kept turning on, so I also went with the FORSCAN option. There is the ability to turn off ASS in the map itself, but I haven't tried it.
  19. Why "Lower" or "raise" your Maverick?

Lowering and a good set of wheels, and these trucks look pretty damn good. I really want to do this to our Maverick, but it's my wife vehicle and ground clearance is probably good for her. :)
