I run the same tires on my XLT hybrid, and I have been averaging just over 5L/100km, or about 55mpg.
I liked these tires so much that I bought them twice, first for my totaled XL hybrid and now on the XLT. I haven't felt much of a loss in terms of the "sportiness" of the truck, as they grip...
GREAT NEWS, EVERYONE!
I was finally offered a settlement (after bugging my insurance adjuster for every bit of information-- did they keep losing my ph number, or what?!) which amounted to enough to cover the outstanding value of the totaled truck, plus a decent downpayment on a replacement...
Thanks for the replies, all-- still stings, but I have leads on a few low mileage used ones that might be a good replacement. Only trouble might be the colour-- I came to really like the Area 51.
And as for questions re: braking, I'm not sure about all that, but I was at a dead stop and the...
Maybe? But I'm not totally surprised given the force of the impact (I was fully stopped) and the fact that his steel bumper rammed hit tailgate, and the back edge of the bed, which buckled panels further forward.
Also, the write off criteria is about 50 percent of value, and I paid ~$40K CAD...
His bull bar hit square on that poor tailgate. Crumpled like nothing.
You bet-- those Wildpeak AT3Ws are great. Will definitely put them on my next one.
I have replacement insurance, thankfully, and my agent says it is likely that they will overvalue the truck for its replacement cost (which isn't a terrible thing) but it could be hard to source another hybrid any time soon.
I got rear-ended driving to pick up my kid from daycare two weeks ago. Luckily she wasn't in the truck, but I just heard from the shop this morning (big backlog in claims work, I guess) that the truck is likely a write-off, with a completely obliterated tailgate, a buckled bed, and damage to the...
I have searched, just wondering what the Cdn users are experiencing in terms of estimates.
Problem is that I have $2000 already paid toward accessories (long story) so I might have to put that towards some other goodies.
Hi all-- I asked my dealer for an estimate to get a trailer hitch installed on my XL, and he said it would be roughly $2500. I didn't expect this to come cheap given the price of the hitch (~$450 on the Ford site) and the installation, but this seems steep.
Anyone else look into this? It seems...
Looks like more than a few Canadian hybrids have arrived in the last week or so. Fingers crossed mine is making its way to the west coast, maybe as part of the same shipment? I thought they would come across the border at Vancouver, but maybe they get routed to Calgary.
Anyone have insights...
I bet mine is on the same rail car.
My XL Hybrid was ordered last October, built on 22 April, and shipped almost immediately after that with an initial delivery estimate in early June.
Since then I have seen the estimated delivery date pushed and pushed. I expect it is sitting in railyard...
Hopefully your delivery to the Island goes faster than mine-- my first delivery estimate was May 15th, and it keeps getting pushed back despite leaving the factory on time.
