No need to make a comment like this. OP had a valid question. Oil that has ran in an engine has acids already contaminating it. That Acid Etches Engine Components. Think : Bearings and Aluminum. If you done believe etching happens Please do yourself a favor and take household vinegar and...
  2. Glovebox Removal Piece Missing?

If you really want one just go to your local pick and pull (Vehicle Recycling yard) grab one out of a 2017 -2024 escape. Again I paid 2.00 for the tiny part, and yes it does slam down without it when I am reaching into it from the drivers seat. It was annoying as hell.

  7. Alarm Issue + Parking Brake

Welcome to the MTC! I do believe that the parking brake engages when you park on an incline (Not sure of the degree of it) It is to prevent damage to the transmission. I have an FX4 and it does it to me if I am on a fairly steep incline when I park it. THe alarm though I dont have any clue...

The cargo Net; I would use it when I take the bags and bags of aluminum cans to the recycling center. Lemme tell you; One bag of crushed cans that fly out of a bed and hit the road at 40 MPH is a nightmare to clean up. But to be honest; at $.87 a lb. They are worth cleaning up off the...

  16. Broken stud on vertical wall for tailgate assist

It didnt "break" the cable. I had said I ruined it. It just tore the rubber out sheath off. And it started to rust. It was due to me not having the tailgate latch bolt (with the TORX) tightened enough and the bracket moved; and that allowed the cable sheath to be worn away by the ball socket...

It Does affect the operation, if the part is not correctly installed straight up and down. Ask me how I ruined the tailgate cable on Drivers side.
