My doctor suggested I switch from coffee to orange juice in the morning.
I did and I feel much happier.
He said that's because of the vitamin C and natural sugars in the OJ.
I think it's because of the vodka 😋 .
Thanks,
Thanks, I was thinking a Maverick sized vehicle but it's more of a Chevy Avalanche thing.
Interesting article about GM's Hydrotec fuel cells for trucks, trains and airplanes (to replace the APUs) and mobile power generators. also development of electrolyzers to generate hydrogen...
Spotted this picture in an article about GM's Hydrotec fuel fuel call technology.

I tried it but didn't like the way the vehicle lurches when it releases, my Mazda release was much smoother. I just put it in neutral when I stop and apply the foot brake lightly, that way I can let it roll a bit and not keep the brake pads clamped to one spot on the disks.
I like the fact you...
The 'sounder' is behind the front grill, I imagine the they made it louder in reverse instead of adding another sounder at the rear.
It's the law:
Manufacturers must install an AVAS ( Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) in four-wheeled electric and hybrid electric vehicles that are approved from...
Just on general HVB topics I found this on the Hella website:
HIGH-VOLTAGE BATTERY
The high-voltage battery (HV battery) is, along with the electric motor, one of the key components of the electric vehicle. It consists of interconnected battery modules, which in turn consist of cells. Batteries...
I got my Maverick at the end of March and was starting to get 45-47 mpg figures but when Summer temps hit the 115-120° in July the milage dropped to 30 and it'd been about there until we had a few 95° days after the storm and the MPGs went up to 40.
Temps hit 120° again yesterday - hoping that...
I think optimal battery temps are 35 to 95°F but manufactures typically test to 50°C (122°F). We usually get close to those temps a few days a year, I've seen prototype F150s doing the 'Davis Dam climb', good test, about a 3500ft climb at 70mph with a fully loaded trailer when the temps near...
I think that over 95° the battery is actively cooled, hard to find information on how the AC compressor helps the cooling at higher temps, looks like 'item 19' in the components diagram is the connection to the AC.
What I know is that when our temps are in the 110° to 120° range I have to drive...
Thanks for the replies, I think I understand the AC compressor drive a bit better.
It has to work harder than a regular AC because it has to cool the HV battery.
I realize that this is an old thread - I came across while looking for information on the hybrid Maverick AC.
I haven't been able to find a wiring diagram of the High Voltage system, I'm guessing that the AC compressor is wired directly to the High Voltage battery?
I haven't put a bed cover on my Lariat yet, figuring with AZ temperatures it would be a solar oven back there. Of course you could probably put the crock pot in there and cook dinner :D 😋.
Thinking about it, there is no reason why the transmission control can't be incorporated into the dash instead of cluttering the center console. Put it within easy reach of the steering wheel and incorporate the 'stop/start' button with it  .
Check that it was fully charged, if you have a volt meter check the voltage after you disconnect the charger then turn on a load like the headlamps and check again you may just have a 'surface charge'.
Always amazed by the number of people that don't use their parking brake. Many, many years ago I worked in a marina in SoCal, about once a month a vehicle would roll down the launch ramp when they were getting the boat on or off the trailer - we got pretty good at attaching airbags and floating...
