Sounds like the wiper park isn't heated anymore. Anyone ever heard of an after market park heater? I googled and found some heated wipers themselves, but they look petty janky.
We've had some unusual Midwest weather by me, but I finally got the chance to test out the performance in some snowy weather last night. It wasn't particularly heavy snowfall, but the roads weren't fully cleaned yet so that was the real scenario I wanted to see how we did in. It ended up...
Worst case, you could swap the OG plates back on, couldn't you? If I remember the wiring video well enough, there wasn't much if any modification to the physical wires. I think they have a harness that does that for you, in which case you could just remove it and use the stock setup.
EDIT: This...
I went with the Rough Country Hard Tri-fold. https://www.roughcountry.com/product/ford-flip-up-bed-cover-49254500
I got mine through Bezos, but I've heard direct from them ships free so I should have thrown the money their way, not his. The "2024" fits perfectly.
I debated the BAKFLIP like the...
Creative solution, could you just use the holes they used and flip it? Would at least save you a trip to the dealer if you decide it's a problem. Saves holes in your bumper, too.
I guess I'm not super sure why you're fighting me on my own personal opinion of what ideal is.
To your point though, firstly, as I said, I don't have power in my garage currently. Secondly, I also don't see how renting/borrowing a car at least twice a month isn't a hassle worth justifying a...
I can't even imagine a long trip like this. I've seen them go at it over a 200 mile round trip visit to my other sister's. I'm sure they love each other dearly, but hot-damn I spent a lot of time trying to manage their passive aggressive comments and redirect to the weather or something.
I'm sure that would vary widely on use-case, but for me personally, there's a few things going on. 1. I don't currently have power in my garage. A PHEV would allow me to purchase now, and be ready for when I do. 2. I do a great majority of my driving locally, but I also very frequently make...
To be fair, I wasn't hung up on price of a PHEV. I'd pay a premium for PHEV. I was stating I'd sell everything for an EV that would do 500 mi per top-off and charge fast enough that I wouldn't waste my life away at a super charger.
Gimme the PHEV any day over this. Full electric is amazing in theory, and probably truly is for a lot of people, but full EV terrifies me. The ability to do all the local things on electric and do all the long trips with nothing but 3-5 minutes at a gas station vs. scheduling lengthy stops is...
It's a rough time to gauge Hybrid performance in a lot of places. From what I'm reading, the engine in the hybrid takes a pretty severe nose dive in sub-freezing temps. Might be a better check-in once spring rolls around. I'm sub 30, closer to 25 overall, but I've yet to put more than 3 miles on...
Don't let these guys get to you. Anonymity of the internet and all that. Don't be afraid to preach your love and enjoy the company of those that agree.
A more productive way of what I think they were trying to say is just to temper your expectations. EPA averages are just that; averages. Some...
