Just a quick heads up, when you quote someone, you don't have to quote them in one post and then type another. You can do it in the same post. Just type after the [ /QUOTE] stuff.
I would recommend against the automatic speed setting. I LOVE the idea, but in practice, it doesn't work 100% of the time and that means that in a 60, it could suddenly misread something and send you to 20, slamming on the breaks, or in a 20 it can misread and send you to 60.
As much as I want...
Glad it worked out for you!
And sorry, didn't see your comment above, but I tucked the wires into the headliner and then ran them down the side, behind the seat, along the base of the doors, up the passenger side sill, back into the head liner and then drilled a small hole to let the wires...
I'm not interested in a "Rav 4 with a bed". I don't like the styling. I'd have taken something a little more like the stout concepts for looks. I want my truck to look like a truck (even a small one), not an SUV someone took a reciprocating saw to.
I've never seen the benefit of Sirius in the day of bluetooth and phones. Can anyone help me justify it? I let mine expire because I literally never used it.
It might end up making the design a bit too far off, but you could go a different direction and cut slots 100% through the board and halfway down, then cut a corresponding rabbit in the separators to slot into those. That'd be a "simpler" set of cuts, but like the OP said, enough time and...
Would be a great alternative to the tonneau for when I can't fit everything in it and would be better off just taking it off completely. Bonus points if I could get it on while my bike is on the tailgate rack!
I don't know why I never thought to deploy a rooftop tent this way. I've been trying to come up with ways to get the tent before the racks for my setup. Wrestled with just waiting til after racks, buying a shorter, cheaper rack to tide me over, DIYing a rack ... but this. This just makes sense!
No space white and no racks. Un-usable!
Just kidding. Cool tool.
Jokes aside, it needs racks though. The biggest question I come to your site and leave asking is "how will x cover interact with y rack" (typically the elevate system)
Couple clarification questions:
Are you saying that the power washing is what led to water being everywhere?
If so, are you now concerned about it not drying out appropriately or that it made it into the cooler?
If power washing isn't the problem, are you saying everything doesn't seem to be...
Definitely more than one way to skin a cat, as they say. I don't have these in hand so I'm guessing I'll end up taking one apart and going to a big box with it and prototyping it in the screw aisle! xD
