Gabbydad, I also installed the tailgate assist and it also was a DZ...but I also added two D ring tie downs where you had to take off the factory one...that way you will still have tailgate tie downs, thought I'd share...I started a post on here about it

Tom, I think it would fit over the tailgate liner just fine, just remove the factory tiedown and use the original bolt, I added a black washer and bolted on.

Well the filter on mine was small and it calls for a FL-910S which is a larger capacity

I installed today, a DZ tailgate assist. I also replaced the tailgate tie down that they tell you to remove so you don’t destroy your assist shock. I ordered 4V ring tiedowns only used two, it will not be in the way for the assist shock. That way I can still use my tiedowns on the tailgate...

I have never used steam, i have always sprayed heavy soapy water and let set for an hour then hose down, it cleans it right up

I am not sure about the 2024 but I just bought a 2025 and was told that ford puts in a blend, and comes with a small filter, I changed out the oil at 700 miles, yep 700 miles, I have always done this on any new engine, get rid of the fines and that small filter...you do want U want but a few...
