  1. Can a Hybrid XL be towed?

True. It's like saying you need a parachute to jump out of an airplane. No, you need a parachute to jump out of an airplane twice.
  2. Sac 2 da Bay MPG

41MPG with that ICE/electric mix is excellent! I've found once you go past 60-65, it's hard to keep the mpgs up.
  3. Chapman/Horsham -- 2022MY to 2023MY rollover orders

Yeah, that's pretty major. Cross that route off my normal weekend commute. I'm sure the trucking companies will figure it out without too much delay.
  4. A 591 day wait for this...

I was 579 - excruciating, but now that I've had it for a week, I'm really glad I hung in there. Checks all the boxes I wanted & needed, no other vehicle (really at any price point) fit.
  5. Finally, The Eagle Has Landed!

Awesome. Got my '23 Lariat hybrid one week ago, already have 600 miles on it, averaging close to 44mpg on decent amount of highways and some up and down Pocono mountain roads. It's a great truck, and (sort of) worth the wait (my wait was 579 days).
  6. VIDEO of Hybrid Catalytic Converter Location

Next video in the series: "How to remove a catalytic converter with a battery powered sawzall without damaging it or waking the neighbors"
  7. Ford raising base Ranger prices 18%, wonder what base Mav 24 prices look like

I did the same comparison - my hybrid Lariat Mav vs a 4x2 Lariat Ranger (without sunroof, which isn't an option, and no hybrid of course). It was a $10k difference - and closer to $15k because I got a great deal from my 2022 order with under invoice and special rollover offer. Crazy.
  8. Rexing V1 dash cam help

Doesn't the 12V outlet shut off automatically after a set time period (15, 30 mins)? I haven't tested it but thought I read that somewhere, and that's how it works in my son's 2019 Edge.
  9. ATT in truck

It means physically changing out a modem, an integrated piece of communications hardware that's necessary for the functioning of the vehicle's systems. It's not like swapping out floor mats.
  10. Anyone clay barring and polishing their new Maverick?

I used Adam's Iron Remover, whole 16oz bottle on it just a few days after picking it up, and surprising how many little purple (oxidizing & removing iron particles) spots there were. Did a full wash and dry. Next week I'll wash again, clay mitt, do an IPA (isopropyl alcohol) wipe down, then I'm...
  11. Only 675 miles! Already in the shop

Same - I had thought to quickly get a reply in before someone took it seriously and ran to Pep Boys.
  12. 📬 3/16/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING]

Chapman (NE) initially showed me at 5/25-5/31, then on the 30th said the new ETA was June 5. Lo and behold, it appeared on their lot on June 1, picked it up the next day. Hang in there, you're so close!
  13. F-150 ⚡ loses ~1/4 range under load

The ICE version probably loses 1/4 of its MPG under load also, maybe more. I always thought the "hurr durr, you can't tow with an electric truck because you lose range" argument was misplaced.
  14. ⚠️ Recall 23S27 & Delivery Hold on 2.5L Maverick Hybrids for Under Hood Fire (Notice Date 5/31/23)

My opinion? Go grab it. They'll know if your VIN has an active recall. It may never. Don't tell them to wait until there is a fix on something that may not affect yours. Plus the wait time might be 6 months based on the Q4 line in the recall.
  15. Popping and fried egg noise

Did you open the hood? Look for liquids/oils that are in places they shouldn't be (especially the underside of the hood). If you see any, get it towed to the dealer for service.
  16. 📬 3/16/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING]

Tracker isn't quite updating I suppose: And in reality:
