We have two Mavericks, a '23 Hybrid, and a '22 Ecoboost. This was the Ecoboost. It has 40k kilometers on it. I've already done the back brakes on it, too. The all wheel drive one seems to go through brakes a lot quicker than the hybrid.

Good idea - I am going to check the work order to see what kind of battery was installed. I had assumed it was the lead acid type

Final verdict: 12 volt battery was indeed bad. Technician said it was "frozen" and failed testing. This is the second replacement 12 volt battery in less than 3 years. Ford needs to stop putting cheap Chinese FLA batteries in these trucks.

I checked the 12v battery with a very basic meter I have (doesn't actually give the voltage, unfortunately) and it came up as "low", so I suspect the culprit may be that 12v battery again.

You may be correct. I'll check the battery voltage tomorrow when I'm home tomorrow and pop the code reader into the OBD port.

Both our Mavericks came with the factory installed mudflaps. Does anyone knkw if the Mabett flares can be installed with the factory mudflaps in place?

I think they were an eBay purchase. Can't remember. But I know they were inexpensive.

These things that fit inside the door handles to provide more storage. Totally useless and rattle and fall out.

Mystery solved. As soon as I pulled onto the highway today, the TMPS light came on and the little window with the warning about tire pressure. New mystery would be why it took 3 days for the system to notice the sensors weren't sending a pressure signal....
