  1. Your turn to wait, Mr. or Ms Dealer

Strange that they sent that. They know exactly how many miles you have and all codes, faults, etc through their system and ford pass. They’re pulling mailing lists and your name got in the mix for some reason
  2. Hybrid hard breaking / thud at low speeds

It was posted here that there was a fix in April. I replied with a summary of my experience too. I’ll try to find and send the thread to you
  3. My Carvana Offer

You have way more options than me though, so that makes sense. I bought a $19,995 truck and put $600 wheels on
  4. Trim Restorer (What to use?)

I’ve used Wipe-New on my other cars and it works well. Probably lasts two years until you start to see a slight fade again. Doesn’t peel, streak, or flake off. Turns really grey plastic net black instantly and stays
  5. My Carvana Offer

I was offered $29,511 from carvana I paid $23,790 out the door 4500 miles on an xl hybrid
  6. Hybrid hard breaking / thud at low speeds

It’s a software update that fixes the idle surge and fuel dump during idles with the heater on. This affects hybrids only and service depts have a software update for it. It reprograms several modules and also fixes the ambient temp sensor and auto HVAC issue.
  7. Another dealer playing games...

It’s their way of making money on a deal that didn’t make them any money, other than a doc fee. Should have gotten MSRP plus doc, tax, and dmv fee in writing. And why would they install those items anyway? Not everyone wants front tints and LoJack. Literally nobody needs LoJack. It’s 2022 and...
  8. ford pass points missing

Mine took a few days to hit my account. Maybe a week. Then they disappeared instantly as I used them for a tonneau cover. Once I bought something else—mudflaps, touch up paint, and the tailgate assist I think—I saw new points hit my account the next day.
  9. tpms

The tire shop couldn’t put my sensors back in when I swapped from the steelies to an aftermarket wheel. I needed a bigger spacer in the sensors. So now I have the light on and it blinks, and you have to hit OK when you get in because there’s a warning message in the dash that won’t go away...
  10. VIDEO: TRUXEDO SENTRY CT TONNEAU COVER INSTALL

Looks clean and perfectly fit for the bed. I watched your other video with the bed storage box — what did you do with those missing screws? Just leave them missing or grab some from lowes? Seems like you don’t need them.
  11. Anyone having rust issues with their Maverick?

Hey, I agree with you all and I certainly don’t want rust on my 5000 mile truck, but the warranty says they won’t cover it. A few other have stated that above. If you can get them to treat the areas, that’s great, and hopefully it’ll become a recall. I’ve fought Mitsubishi of American on a...
  12. What happens when you ceramic coat your truck?

Looks great. I wash my cars once a week, and after ceramic coating them and using a detailer spray with—probably minimal—Si02 in it, I noticed I only have to rinse the car off and dry now. The bugs, pollen, and road dirt just slip off. wheels and wheel wells are a different story though. I sit...
  13. Anyone having rust issues with their Maverick?

80% of dealers won’t cover this. The 20% that will agree to do something will sand the spots and spray an undercoating on the areas, then send you on your way. just do it yourself. They aren’t going to re-dip your truck in electrostatic corrosion solution and apply new paint on the pinchwelds...
  14. 10,000 mile HYBRID review

Good to know. I’ve only had minor non-deal breaker issues that the dealer has resolved or I’ve taken care of myself. Same mpg as you
  15. Anyone having rust issues with their Maverick?

I have the same amount of rust as the OP — maybe a little less. I sanded it off, which took 30 seconds, wiped it down and dried the areas, and sprayed two coats of Rustoleum black. That’ll be fine for a while. I’ll check it in 5000 miles and hit it again with some paint. I wouldn’t stress it
  16. PSA: Anyone with OEM Ford Splash Guards - they wear paint down to metal!

Here’s what it looks like after you pull the flares out, trim the plastic back a bit, and bolt them back with a gap:
  17. PSA: Anyone with OEM Ford Splash Guards - they wear paint down to metal!

You need to loosen the bolts and pull the flares away from the metal fender about a 32nd of an inch, then retighten the bolts. If the rears are still too close, take them off and shave a small amount off with a new xacto blade. you can use PPF and not adjust it like I described above, but the...
  18. Instead of all the complaining....how about IT'S ONE HELL OF A SMALL TRUCK thread!

I love the truck and would buy another if I had to. Cannot beat the value in this market. Trimmed as an XL Hybrid, it’s something like the cheapest new vehicle you can buy, other than a Mitsubishi Mirage. I do understand why people complain though. It’s annoying to have your OEM mudflaps wear...
