Yes, I had to tow it 1500 mile from Backus MN to Virginia. I wrote about my experience in the forum under Hauling/ Towing. ( Tow report: Maverick towing 16 ft Scamp trailer (2200 lbs) for 1500 miles ) Check it when have time.
You have a nice 2 year old so you donāt need a Maverick so bad that youāre will to let a dealer steal the equity your built up in your Subaru. Be patient, remember you are the customer they need you you donāt need them. Look for another dealer with no ADMās to find what you want and if you canāt...
I actually took it in for a paint defect and door handle sensor issue and they checked for the recall. The dealer still has my Maverick and its now been 30 days and still no replacement fuel tank.
I took my Maverick in for service and they checked for the fuel tank recall and I was told that Ford out sourced the spray-in bed liner and the vender used a drill to clean out the holes in the bed and used a drill bit that was to long and drilled holes into the fuel tanks. My Maverick was one...
I had the same issue and found out that I had holes in the fuel tank. Ford recalled the fuel tanks on Maverickās the spray-in bed liner. Dealer has had my Maverick for two weeks now and still no fuel tank. This is a safety issue so you will be in a loaner or rental until itās repaired.
Thank You for your service. I honestly think the 2023 hybrid is going to sellout faster than the 2022 did so be ready and know exactly what you want when orders open in mid to late August.
I got Fords A-Plan discount which not only cut MSRP but also eliminated the $799 dealer fee. I also didnāt have to pay sales tax for being a disabled Veteran. Maverick MSRP $37,845 with total savings of $4,781 OTD price $33,064.
The Maverick is worth the wait it just need you be patience. The Maverick will be a single vehicle serving double duty while having a Prius and a Tacoma will cost you more money in insurance, maintenance and maybe fuel. The Maverick wont disappoint, itās better than expected.
