I have fx4 and 4k tow. Difference is 1 inch clearance so 9.3 vs 8.. then you also got the front bumper plastic it's flat and angled which would help get it over washouts. You could go a readylift 1.5 sst lift kit I went that route. For traction I changed the tires to tpyo at 3 (235 65 r15)...

Even with the skid it's kind of too low. 8.3 inches is nothing square front doesn't make it easy to not scrap on a washout you get this and the road wasn't that bad it slide over a loose rock and I couldn't repostion. The new mid plastic part is thicker and more stiffer looks like a felt made...

It's also narrower so you can go around most rocks. Rock on the right drive on the left it actually had decent ground clearance for a car my old civic 04 was 6.3 inches maverick 8.3 but longer and wider. Civic could decently go through wash outs slightly better but the maverick can go over rocks...

I have an xlt with fx4 really like the hill decent control. I also just added a ready lift 1.5 sst on to the truck its a nicer ride height feels like a body on framentruck now for getting in.and out. Should be just enough to do the washouts with out bottoming out in the middle if I angle them

You would want better tires as when it's dry you should be fine the lack of ground clearance could be an issuse with wash outs even the awd is kind of low to the ground. For traction it seems to do well in snow with proper snow tires awd on 10 degree hill with nicely packed prellie scorpions...

I just set the temp and leave it in auto mode 2 it goes up to that speed then stops. I know you can turn the knob and set it to what you want then it shouldn't change at all.

Turn the auto brake hold off. That fighting goes away the ecoboost does the same with light brake pressure it's in-between off and on at low speed grips ungrips.

I drives nice. Smells like burning transmission fluid. Lack of ground clearance. The alternator doesn't seem to be chargeing had electrical problems from day one never got fixed they just shrug them off.been getting worse it seems. Long waits to.even get it looked at

I went xlt I hate wireless car keys. I can use the keypad to open it up and lock the key in the console safe making it easy to park somewhere and have someone else pick it up. With lariat people could start it and drive away with the key inside. Keys are way less problems for theft too

141 to 167 from the dealer for the part few bucks to bolt it on cost 210 The weird part is the replacement part seems more durable
