Sometimes towing with water is necessary. Sometimes it is desirable too such as in windy conditions.
My tows with more
Stability at 3200 lbs than 2750.
Because Ford is covering their ass not yours.
For 15 years I lived in Denver and owned an Escape Hybrid 2005 to 2019.
Same setup as the Maverick.
Ran 85 octane almost exclusively for 259,000 trouble-free miles. No knocking ever in an Atkinson engine. Even when towing up I-70 to the Eisenhower...
Of course start small and keep it slow. Like 55 mph slow if you are new to towing. I've been towing stuff for 30 years. Mine is a lot of trailer for a freshman. Just be safe and take it easy. Slow down in wind. Minimize distractions like talking on the phone or eating while towing. You have very...
As equipped. But you can add aftermarket equipment.
Trailer is 2750 dry. 3200 as outfitted.
I ADDED a 7-pin connection and trailer brake controller. ($250)
I ADDED helper air bags to the rear springs. ($110)
I ADDED transmission temperature gauge and water temperature gauge and battery...
The LIMIT is not low. But the recommendation kind of is.
My 2022 hybrid pulls this:
Only thing I could use and don't have is the AWD that came along later.
And the 120 VAC outlet in the Maverick is powering the RV except for Air Conditioner and Microwave.
If driving voltage means voltage while driving it should not be 12.8.
You should only see 12.x while at rest.
Anytime truck is turned on you should see high 13's to low 14's.
Lights on forces voltage up and forces a trickle charge. If you see 12's while driving you are in a battery...
35 cents a gallon more for "clear gas" is a smaller delta in price than most of the country. You are lucky there.
You need to compare apples to apples and keep elevation based octane modification out of the equation when comparing pricing.
85 is really 87 equivalent.
88 is really 90.
91 is...
Nice. I'll see if I can replicate that in my 2022.
I think I can explain no.2.
Number 3 I had not noticed.
Re: 2
If your battery is 88% or below, The Tricks™ may not be apparant because the truck is boosting voltage on it's own. Switching the lights on won't boost voltage that is already...
Thanks for posting.
Your pure gas is 35 cents a gallon more than E10. Octane is irrelevant in the hybrid engine.
Based on energy content which translates to MPG your pure gas should cost you 16 cents more than "regular" E10.
You are paying 2x for the 3.5% boost in energy. Enjoy it!
I never have had anyone tamper with mine. And I live in one if the big cities Trump likes to throw shade on often.
That said, I keep a quart of oil, a can of fix-a-flat, a plastic funnel, a rag, and a bungee cord in mine. Nothing I would be heartbroken over should it go missing. Coming up on 4...
You may be an out lier. The exception.
You may be fooled. Maybe you are being lied to at the gas station. Maybe you mis-read the signs. Maybe the pumps were mis-labeled. Maybe you are exceptionally lucky. I don't know.
What I do know is ethanol free is USUALLY 50 cents more per gallon, with...
