Yeah unfortunately my main use case is tossing stuff in the bed when I'm coming back to my truck. So opening the door, putting in the key, and then walking back to the bed is not ideal.
I figured it out. I had to go to the 'order summary's view in order to enter both. In the main checkout screen it only lets you enter one or the other. Thanks for letting me know
Ford chat confirmed you cannot combine the coupon with points. Once you enter the coupon the point option disappears. Probably better to use points for service and cash for accessories with that in mind.
Ford chat confirmed you cannot combine points with the discount code. So you might be better off using points for service and paying cash for accessories so you can get the discount.
Are you using the provided 12v wiring? If so then your lights only come on with the ignition on (or for a brief epriod after turning off the ignition) right?
It would be about $220 (divide by 200). Currently you can only order accessories through the dealer. There was a release note sent to dealers that the ford site was going to start taking points as well, but they delayed that.
The dealer has no incentive to pay you. Either you buy it from them or you walk away and they get to mark it up to whatever they want without paying you.
I'll probably just grab some magnetic rechargeable lights that charge via USB. A motorcycle battery is a good idea and would last longer but I figure USB charging will be a little more convenient. Maybe I'll install a USB charging port in the bed that charges the lights while the truck is on...
