  2. where/how to wire a kill switch

Be careful about messing with circuits. Fuel pump example if the solenoid that turns on the pump BUT if that solenoid fails or you put a switch inline oil pressure switch by cranking engine will turn pump on. its a backup if solenoid should fail. so messing around with circuits might not do...
  3. Tried Meguiars ceramic wax

Many good reviewers on youtube who test all the ceramics out there for how long they last. Check it out if you want the longer lasting stuff. Some fail as early as wax in a month. I chose one brand that was available locally was low cost and lasted a year out in the hot TX sun . Some lasted even...

  5. Very Low Speed Driving Hybrid Weirdness

Wish I had access to a service manual on this car. I would like to see how they have the brakes setup on it,. It sounds like the regen braking is messing up,. if that is the case I would think turning all regen braking off at low speeds wouldn't be that hard. Plus have very little effect on...
  6. Very Low Speed Driving Hybrid Weirdness

If this isn't fixed I wont take my Mav after i order it,. This is NUTS. Not acceptable. Having to pound down on the brakes at slow speed like at a drive through food pace is insane to accept. I will be watching these forums if this isn't fixed in 6 months i am out. What the heck FORD?

CA new laws has this in it Quote 2026. In that year, 35% of all new cars an auto manufacturer sells to California dealerships would need to be either zero-emission, plug-in hybrid or hydrogen-powered vehicles. That would increase to 68% in 2030 and 100% by 2035 END quote So in 4 years...

I am a kayaker and have been using clamp on style roof racks from both Thule and Yakima over 13 years now . I have not had any issue with damage to the paint or rubber door seals. 11. Maverick vs F150 lightning

Radically different in pricing between the two. I don't even put them in the same ball park. Seems crazy to me to think you would consider one over the other since there not even close to being the same. One a very small gas pickup. The other a way LARGER EV pickup. Plus there must be at least a...

  13. Ford Maverick After Ceramic Coating

I don't know. I could ask my friend who does this professionally. I would guess the clay bar would remove it. For the DIY ceramic I just reapply every six months after a good wash and maybe clay bar the car too. The DIY ceramics last at least 6 months at least the better ones do . When you car...
  14. Ford Maverick After Ceramic Coating

Yes the professional ceramic coatings are a little more tricky to do correctly. There are many ceramic coatings that have less less sio2 in them and can be done by anyone. They don't last as long but do work very well. As far as lasting a life time. I sure don't think so. The professionals i...
  15. Radiator in heat, concern?

On top of that when off roading many times you will be crawling at low speed meaning not much air flow through radiator. So YES I would be concerned. I bet ford did test on a road at hot temps which gave good airflow going 20 plus MPH but off roading you might go 3 mph. Get a temp gauge.
  16. First Oil Change on Hybrid Maverick XLT -- my notes / tips

The Ow part of 0w -20 is when the oil is cold once the engine warms its the second weight number (20) that counts. So not seeing anything to do with tolerances. its just that it stays thin at real cold temp were 5w 20 would be a little thicker ONLY at start up when super cold . . Thats is...
