I find it much easier/safer to go from underneath. If you remove the engine shield like you are doing an oil change, you can see both lights from underneath. Can't reach them with your hands, but if you use a long prybar or screwdriver you can push the little clip and they will pop right out...
The 194 style bulb is only a single-filament (on or off) vs. other bulbs that are dual-filament (dim, bright, off). So you could have either marker lights or turn signals, but not both. Unless you went really custom, then anything is possible.
The "clear" looks smoked in the pictures and the "smoked" looks blacked out. I don't see anyone with the dark versions yet -- is the smoked version pretty accurate looking in the pics?
Every oil company.
Take Mobil, for example. They make a bunch of different 5w30 oils. Not just synthetic and conventional, but multiples - Mobil-1, Mobil-1 Truck & SUV, Mobil-1 High Mileage, Mobil Super, etc. Not every 5w30 oil they make meets every cert possible.
Look at Mobil Full Synthetic...
They will "fit" the truck, but I don't think it's something you would ultimately be happy with enough to have wheels refinished and run permanently. The inside will sit in further, which is probably fine - there is room, but the outside of the wheel will also sit in about 1/2" compared to the...
I appreciate the ingenuity and think it looks nice on the truck. Maybe could use a light bar mount on one of the tubes, possibly as a later add-on. Nobody else on the market is making anything like this that I know of.
However.
This is absolutely ONLY about looks, there is no way this adds ANY...
The only thing I wish was different is that the can was bigger so I didn't have to empty it every 1000 miles in the winter (YMMV). I'm very happy that all the nasty stuff is not going back in the engine, just nice clean air and fuel. Can't say whether it makes a real world difference in...
As I recall, mine was a little stiff the first time, but after that it has been fine. Maybe a burr or something, I didn't pay much attention since it's been ok after. I wouldn't add anything because it falling off/in would make me nervous. If you received the right one it should fit.
I don't have it in front of me, but I believe the switch has two white wires, which are power in and power out, and then a ground wire so the light on the switch works. The power in wire should go from a tap-in connector on the headlight harness to the switch. You eliminate that wire entirely...
There are millions of other connectors, some like Weatherpack style, are also very good and somewhat simple, but I really like Deutsch and think you will too. They aren't the best solution in every situation, but you will like having the option once you try them.
A couple other thoughts:
For...
I like the direction you are headed, though I disagree about solder being more secure than crimp. They each have their place, but know that probably 99%+ of the wire connections in the truck are crimped. This is coming from someone who solders and crimps.
What I would suggest, if you're not...
If it's not too late, you might consider the Husky X-Act Contour line. They are identical in size and shape, but made with a more rubbery material, so they don't have the plasticky sound or form problems. They lay nice and flat and feel better.
They don't just use a bezel, they literally attach to the bumper cover by those screwing to a bracket behind the cover, so it is part of the mounting. They would need a pro designed bezel to make sure the angles and fitment are correct.
As for the lights and design, they are literally F150...
If you think Lasfit is representative of all aftermarket LEDs, you are mistaken. Spend some time looking at and using quality products and you will be very happy.
