I also noticed the computer calculation and my calculation were about $70 off. The order sheet from Ford is what is supposed to have the correct price, so I haven't pursued it further but would be curious to see how yours compares. My order sheet doesn't list doc fees or anything that doesn't...
I would say the majority of orders here are for MSRP.
It's very generous for the dealer not to charge more for a truck that was never delivered. Sheesh...
Pretty sure everyone got the same email and it specifically said to use the same order number. I think you need to get on your dealer or you will end up in for a surprise when/if your truck comes in, which will take longer than all the rollovers, and you have no private offer. Just my opinion...
There is an option to print the discounts on the paperwork - I had to ask my rep a couple times before he had the GM show him how to do it. I think that was honestly not knowing, and learning. If you don't have anything except a guy's word that they will honor pricing, and he has already...
Believe the rules of the x-plan specifically say it is $100 max unless the law allows less. Sounds like one of those dealers that tries to convince people these fees are required by law vs. regulated by law. I suppose getting the order in was the right move and then you can fight it later, as...
Hear about a number of dealers who can't seem to place orders correctly, or correctly perform rollovers. Then there are those dealers that accidentally place orders or do it 'just in case' without telling you. Either way seems like a whole lot of shady dealers...
I wouldn't give up that easy. You could be leaving hundreds - or maybe over a thousand dollars on the table. Won't hurt to keep pestering the original dealer. Worst that happens is you cancel the other order ... or let the dealer keep it.
This should be easy to diagnose - put it on a lift and run it to the speed you hear the noise. If the noise is still there, it's not the tires!
EDITED for clarification. Make sure all four tires are off the ground!
What did you have done?
Lately there are a couple giant corporate bodyshop companies that are taking over all the independents. I don't know if it's better or worse. My last experience it seemed they were more into how quick can we get it in and out vs. best repair possible.
Excellent- thanks for your help. I felt they were above board before, and they are on the 'approved' list here, but they also have a Mav on the lot with a $5k markup as well so that made me a little leery. Emails are pretty clear and now I have the right numbers on a sheet that shows the X-plan...
These are the exact tires I had that pretty sure are rated a 70k mile tire but I had 80k miles when I got rid of the truck and they were still good. I would absolutely buy them again.
Yes- I would say that's a pretty bold move. It would be one thing to 'accidentally' forget to cancel the order even though you don't want it, it's another to 'accidentally forget to cancel the order and then accidentally place a new order.' You have to wonder at a dealer like that, if they are...
Update: Sales rep got back to me already and now the preview includes the discount line just like yours does. He said his GM showed him how to display it like that. I'm not sure that he updated the order (I asked him to), but at least I feel better between him confirming it in email and sending...
