  1. Changed the eCVT transmission fluid in my Hybrid Maverick

You guys change you transmission fluid that often? Seems way excessive. Its not like engine oil that gets dirty from blow by past rings. I was thinking of doing my trans fluid when I reach 30K .
  2. Tri fold cover and rack ideas

The roof bars are Yakima Baseline . I had them from my last vehicle just needed new Clip Kit as each car model has its own clip kit. They are not cheap as they are sold in pairs but you really only need one cab cross bar and one bed cross bar. If you can find the Baseline FEET from Yakima USED...
  3. Tri fold cover and rack ideas

LONG thread on racks. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/cheap-diy-bed-rack-that-works-with-tonneau-cover.39731/ I used the elevate rails BUT not the uprights and cross bars. Much cheaper using Tnutz.
  4. Michelin CrossClimate 2 Review - Hybrid - 10,000 Miles

Tire reviews are hard to determine unless you do a side by side comparison. The closest I came with the OEM Continentals on my 23 Hybrid XLT. was when I took off my WS90 blizzak snows early this past March and it snowed two times after that . I got to see how BAD those all season tires really...
  5. Is your hybrid engine loud?

Of all the vehicles I have owned this is the quitest EVER.
  6. Racked and Ready! (for canoe transport)

I meant if you had NO rear cross bars. Just Cab clip on roof bars. Yes I load my 16 and 17 long kayaks from rear. I have both cab bars and one rear bar I made myself with Tnutz aluminum.
  7. More issues with my dads 2023 Hybrid Maverick…

On the dash My 2020 ecosport had that happen. I disconnected battery for a few minutes Connected back up, dash back on. Never happened again,. Happened at about 2 year mark on ther Ecosport . Sold Eco for Mav at almost 3 year ownership point of Ecopsort. I would TRY that unless you already...
  8. Are you impressed with your Hybrid's power?

How MUCH power does one NEED? I judge it by can the Mav get past a slower car going 50 mph in a 55 mph road were i cruise at 60 mph. My last car was a 2020 Ecosport 2 .0. This is much faster. Can get by slow car quite quickly without taking up tons or road to get by. So yes it has plenty of...
  9. Racked and Ready! (for canoe transport)

I have both cab bars and ONE rear cross bar see picture above in my other post. . Problem with JUST bars on cab is you CAN NOT load from the rear. Just to far away from back of truck to reach and that is with whats called a Thule slip stream that slides a roller back about 2 feet from rear...
  10. Racked and Ready! (for canoe transport)

I looked at the elevate bars. But they are just to far back plus to much $$$. I already had yakima roof bars and use the elevate rails but then made ONE upright. Now the boat doesn't stick way out the back. Easy to load from the rear.
  11. $26,295...

Well I guess its what to expect in car pricing. My 2020 Ecosport had a $26540 sticker BUT I only paid $16870 back in Sept 2020, there was a 5k rebate at the time plus dealer was being sold . That WAS Fords lowest priced vehicle at the time. so 26K is it. BUT the Ecosport was a AWD SE quite...
  12. Camper Shell Impact on MPG

You need to angle that part that sticks above cab. I have a 16 foot kayak up on my roof most of the time. The faster you go the MORE it hurts mpg. Under 45 mph hardly much at all.
  13. Blackstone oil report!

Forget the engine. Not worried about the tranmsiion towing 5K. I would be.
  14. Modifications and Transmission Failure out of no where

Interesting read. Lesson learned. Don't modify a vehicle that still has warranty left.Or at least don't expect any warranty repairs. If you like to modify don't buy a new vehicle by an old used vehicle and have at it.
  15. Another day of fun trying to keep a nice vehicle

Hope they catch the SOB and make him pay with jail and money. Hope its not to bad on your Mav. good luck.
  16. Another day of fun trying to keep a nice vehicle

I wonder if they caught the guy/girl ? At least ID the crash car.
  17. First Oil Change @ What Mileage?

You will get MANY opinions here. Who should you believe ? I suggest looking on youtube of people who did follow the Oil Maintenance Minder and see there results. Most NOT good. One thing about a place like jiffy lube. There are a bunch of screws holding plastic cover on underneath engine. I...
  18. Paint protection - what are you using?

Use a ceramic. Many to choose from. Don't believe wild claims on many years. .The pro installs do last longer BUT highly doubt past 2 years. 1 year at best for self applied stuff protection. Apply again. I do twice a year. Don't waste your time with WAX. unless it has ceramic in it too. Wax at...

I first got my Mav August 2023. I already had Yakima cross bars on last vehicle. So I had the bars the base feet and only needed what is called a clip kit to installed two cross bars on Cab,. This Spring I got the bed Rails then got the TNutz uprights and amazon cross bars. I ONLY added ONE...
