Depending on the configuration the prices are different. The acoustic windshield w/o heated element MSRP from Ford is $480 but can be bought for $325. That would be quite a jump to $1100 for some wires, but I didn't bother looking it up since I don't have that on my '24. Or, windshield places...
If you read carefully, you will see that it is a HINGE lock. Basically an add-on cover for one of the hinges on the tailgate so it can't easily be removed. The tailgates all come with a key lock.
I wanted a factory spray-in liner. Keep in mind, everyone who touches the truck after it leaves the factory is a potential problem. Read enough threads on here and you will see problems with aftermarket bed liners not being done well/correctly. But it's not just aftermarket- you will see plenty...
Hard to tell in these situations without being able to see and feel what's going on. First thing I would probably do is buy replacements screws and clips so you don't end up stuck when you do get it off. Next steps depend on what your goal is; are you changing the whole assembly, just the bulbs...
Don't recall exact size but they are fairly small, something like an M6 or M8 maybe. Length isn't critical, there is plenty of room as long as you get them long enough. Maybe just bring the attach point to one of the box stores and try a couple sizes until you find what fits well. The holes in...
I don't think there has been an "official" announcement yet - they were just found early. Usually when these products come out there is a thread with a discount offered and a note that for anyone who has already bought them they can receive the discount retroactively. Probably has to do with...
I will check them with a magnet when I get them and see if they are steel or aluminum. I like the foam idea if they would rattle or to potentially to fill any leftover gaps.
I didn't catch the angle that picture was from but I see it now. I had envisioned the angled part of the cover went up behind the wheelwell liner. This is a little different with the gap and how it tucks up. Well, if it doesn't look like it will cover well I'll send it back. Hopefully once...
Little hard for me to tell how this looks inside the wheelwell and how good the coverage really is -- need to make sure it doesn't add more areas for stuff to accumulate. Looks to be metal and have good fasteners so it should hold on well. Does look promising, I agree. I'm in.
My preference is to go from underneath. If you remove the engine shield, like you are doing an oil change, there is a straight shot to the lights on each side. It's too far to reach by hand, but if you use something like a long pry tool or bar, all you have to do is push the clip back a little...
These actually aren't the BAP wheels, though they share the same physical design. They are gloss black vs. the satin/matte black of the BAP wheels. Pointing this out because they may appeal to more people if you advertise them as glossy. I would have rather had these than the original BAP wheels...
Unpopular opinion: I don't want the digital readout controls, I don't like them. The font doesn't match anything, the color doesn't match anything, and I don't see a point to having another set of temp readings. Not only does the screen tell me the temp, I don't care what the temp settings are...
The dealer is not a professional detailer. Even if the same price, you will get a better job done with a specialist. And chances are the specialist will actually be cheaper!
I had XPEL PPF installed on the front bumper of my Maverick - my first experience with it so I was hesitant to do a lot of it. It's also not cheap. This is one of those items that the right installer makes all the difference. You cannot see any lines and it is crystal clear -- can't even tell...
I didn't have to do any type of relearning sequence or anything. Just programmed the sensors and the truck picked them up. Not sure when you would need to put it into learning mode or anything.
Just for kicks - check/set the air pressure on your other wheel set, or just separate them from the truck by more distance, and see what happens. In my case, I hadn't even installed the TPMS sensors in my other wheel set I had just copied the programming. But having them in their boxes in the...
Do you have another wheel set in your garage (winter/summer tires)? If your installer copied the TPMS sensors from your factory sensors vs. just programming them, your truck could be picking up from the other wheel set.
