  1. 2.0 w/ AWD only exists to...

Yeah, over the years I've realized that 99% of the time, I'm on a road and not at WOT. There is very little need for high HP cars, lifted trucks, etc - I get that they're "fun" toys for people. Cool. That's quite an expensive hobby. I've enjoyed driving on twisty roads, but a Civic is fine for...
  2. Read for update! Getting screwed over by my dealer!

Or you could buy it and flip it to carvana and make $$$. Letting them have it to sell at a markup is an FU, but actually to yourself.
  3. Instinctively reaching for a shift lever... is it just me?

I definitely would step on the non-existent third peddle when starting an auto for a few times. Takes a while, then you learn new muscle memories. Am used to a Prius shifter after a while too. Keys stay in pocket; push button. Way different than years of push clutch; turn key.
  4. Adding CP360 Assist features to MY23 Lariat Lux

I'm in the same group - got screwed over by incompetent dealer/salespeople I was so happy to have a build date, but now I see they did not add Assist + and I won't get ACC. That is THE ONLY reason I was willing to pay for the Lariat. Adaptive Cruise. I'm pissed.
  5. 2.0 w/ AWD only exists to...

Yeah, I'd prefer a hybrid with a long warranty (8yr/100k) vs a turbo when going for long term reliability and low cost of ownership. And in case someone thinks the long warranty is because hybrids aren't reliable: it's due to emissions regs.
  6. What financing APR rates are you seeing?

2.24% is amazing right now. VMFXX (Vanguard Federal Money Market) is paying 4.49% currently. Hope I'll luck into a decent rate if/when my Mav gets built. (We have 1.24% on a DCU loan originated last year, their rates are much higher now)
  7. 2.0 w/ AWD only exists to...

Have you driven a hybrid? The on/off is seamless. Makes you see how wasteful idling at stops/drivethrus/traffic/etc is. Not to mention regenerative braking. The eCVT is also simple, reliable and does away with the stupid rubberband-CVT affect that most people hate. Looking forward to some...
  8. 2.0 w/ AWD only exists to...

relieve ordering/production pressure on the hybrids. A thought experiment. It wouldn't be hard for Ford to offer an AWD hybrid Maverick. We all know that. Ford knew that they couldn't produce enough hybrids, even when only optioned as FWD; so in order to relieve some of the demand pressure...
  9. Modified Bushwacker fender flares

I was thinking you were modifying to mate it with mud flaps. That would have made sense. I'm usually function > fashion, though. You do you.
  10. Semi-DIY medium/low profile bed rack

Like the setup and am thinking of something similar (hope to get my Mav in May!) as we already have a Skybox 16 and caps are way too much $$$ Question for ya - do you think a hard roll-up like the Sentry CT would be able to roll up with the racks and box in place? A full soft roll-up cover...
