  1. Swollen Nuts ( Lug Nuts that is )

100%, you get what you pay for. I spent about $60 on a set of McGard locking lugnuts and they still look brand new over a year later plus the black lugnuts look a lot better. As for the stock lugnuts, yes, Ford is still using the 2 piece lugnuts and they will eventually swell and cause a problem.
  2. Was my Maverick sold out from under me despite my order?

The MTC members will take care of you by appropriately putting them on blast with bad google reviews.
  3. DIY Brush Bedliner. Should the tailgate be removed?

I recently did my father's bed using Herculiner and DID NOT remove the tailgate and it was super easy. The finish came out pretty great, I found that brushing it on gave way better results as opposed to rolling it on which was contrary to my thought that rolling it on would come out better. Take...
  4. Carvana Pricing Dropped Off a Cliff

We don't get a sales tax credit here in Virginia for traded in vehicles so a lot of people here sell to Carvana rather than trading in. I have yet to hear of any bad experiences from people I know who have sold to Carvana but so far my experience wasn't great considering they reneged on their...
  5. Engineering a marvel of a Maverick hybrid transmission

Ford claims to have developed the HF45 on its own and there are a lot of things on the HF45 that are indeed unique but the overall design concept of it is a Toyota design and Ford has had a license agreement with Toyota since 2004 I believe to use the major design principles of the Toyota ecvt...
  6. Carvana Pricing Dropped Off a Cliff

Just saying that I can't imagine getting close to the Carvana offer in a private sale in addition to all the headaches that come with selling privately. It seemed like you were implying that I should think of people wanting a Maverick first instead of doing what is best for me financially...
  7. Carvana Pricing Dropped Off a Cliff

I was going to sell it because I've had issues with mine....A leaking transmission start stop accumulator, leaking CV boots and rattles that cannot be fixed in addition to the various recalls. Also because I was going to be purchasing a very well cared for and much nicer family owned vehicle to...
  8. Was my Maverick sold out from under me despite my order?

Unfortunately says it was sold on or around July 22nd. Your dealer is a scumbag. By the way, unfortunately you have no recourse, a purchase and sales agreement does not constitute a contract nor would it hold up in court. Almost all of them have legal verbiage anyway allowing them to do what...
  9. Carvana Pricing Dropped Off a Cliff

Too many tire kickers and people wasting time. I tried to sell my motorcycle last summer and had nothing but people wasting my time and mostly just throwing out insane lowball offers even though I was already asking far less than book value.
  10. Carvana Pricing Dropped Off a Cliff

Considering the fact that the order bank is still open for the 2024 Maverick and people are reporting that their dealer has stated they have open allocation for hybrid Mavericks I really do wonder if the used car market is tanking. My selling dealer called me to ask if I wanted to place an order...
  11. Carvana Pricing Dropped Off a Cliff

I'm sure you're charitably going to sell your home to a person in need as well instead of getting the best price possible....
  12. Carvana Pricing Dropped Off a Cliff

A little less than 2 weeks ago I received a quote from Carvana to sell them my 2022 XL AWD Maverick for just about $30,500. A family member is in the process of purchasing a new vehicle and offered to sell me their old vehicle at a great price which would have replaced the Maverick. I followed...
  13. 🤝 List of honest dealerships for Ford Maverick buyers

I don't see where all of this info is being collected and presented? I would like to be able to tell interested buyers where to go to find this data.....
  14. Was my Maverick sold out from under me despite my order?

You need to contact Ford via the chat. https://www.ford.com/help/contact/ Give them your order, VIN, sales code, etc and ask them where your vehicle is. They should be able to tell you if it was sold or not. You can also private message me your VIN and I can look to see if it was registered.
  15. 2024 Maverick Orders Now Being Prioritized - Contact Ford Chat to check

You don't need a VIN to use the chat, all you need are the order code and sales code from the DORA. You also need to make sure you accept all cookies for the site otherwise the chat button will never show up.
  16. Maverick Electrical Issue

You seem to be confused so guessing you didn't take the time to read through the thread, there are two different and separate issues being shown in this thread so no, OP is not saying a wheel speed sensor caused his dash to melt........
  17. All time/Symmetrical AWD

All AWD Mavericks have the same PTU except the Tremor which has a liquid cooled PTU from the Bronco Sport Badlands. The Tremor and BS Badlands use a liquid cooled PTU so it can still maintain temp if you're doing some light offroading and constantly engaging the PTU at low speeds. With the air...
  18. Maverick Electrical Issue

That's the new Salvador Dali edition Maverick.
  19. XL and XLT Interior Differences

No arm rest in the rear seat for the XL. The seat cushions have the same part numbers and I find it hard to believe that the seat covers themselves provide any added "comfort", I think it might just be confirmation bias by anyone who says so. Also, you can get power mirrors on an XL with Copilot...
