Leave the moonroof, hitch, and inverter. The hitch will be stronger and trimmed better factory. Inverter will be PITA to get done after. Drop floor mats and hood protector. Hope for the best.
You were being argumentative. Clearly all-wheel drive has safety benefits. You're isolating situations which would be a benefit and then saying except for those clear situations there is no benefit. It's like saying there's no benefit to anti-lock brakes if you don't lock the brakes up. It's not...
I ordered FX4 and 4k. Tow hooks, skid plates, wheels/tires on the FX4 drove that decision. Ability to tow a light camper or utility trailer with side by side drove 4k. Would have gone with Tremor if I didn't want the 4k.
I wonder what the dealer would do if you tried to sign the contract with a note stating its under duress. Curious if a dealer even knows what it means. Because that could be the difference in small claims court being able to do something or not in my opinion.
My '14 Jeep Cherokee had a panoramic roof. It squeaked constantly from 2 weeks in. I took it to the shop several times and it wouldn't stop. I think it's a factor of the larger roof assembly vs the vehicle flexing. Never had that sort of issue on any vehicle I've had with a normal sunroof...
Ok so I've had some coffee now I can be less snarky.

My son wanted me to get a gladiator. Problem is to get the Creature Comforts I want, enough sound dampening to make it practical it would turn into a 50 to $60,000 affair. Told him it did just didn't make sense
Agreed I put mine in via email. Actually tried to pay a deposit the dealer doesn't want one. I have the email from Ford and I confirmed order is good with Ford chat. So I'm the counter example to his statement.
Funny you read my mind on work days. That 28.6 weeks is 6.6 months at an average of 4.33 weeks per month. So if production starts mid November, that puts this window in June. That doesn't seem crazy.
I plan on getting something like this. In the year until my '23 Maverick arrives who knows what product it'll be then. Just a shame considering wireless is viable that I need a decide floating around when it could be much cleaner.
Why wouldn't you? The simple answer is for every order you put in that you don't need, your potentially taking a build slot away from a customer who actually wants a truck. Not saying that makes you a bad person. And it's the system allows you to do it, it's debatable off it's wrong or not. But...
I'm not saying I like this, because I don't, but how is this any different than a person who orders one just to flip it? At least with the adm, a customer gets it for about $5,000 more new. When someone orders it to flip it, the customer's paying about $10,000 more for used.
Also your scenario...
For you, and anyone else a similar questions, just go to Ford chat. If there's any question in your mind, for peace of mind just go to Ford chat. I hopped on at 5:15 last night, took about 15 minutes of waiting, 5 minutes of chatting, and I have confirmation my orders good and all I need to do...
