Nothing wrong with being prepared and it's not like it's never happened. I had my Colorado catch fire just sitting in my driveway. (battery). Happened around 4 am, so I had no chance of putting it out. One of the first accessories I added to the Maverick was fire extinguisher...
No it did not. I'm thinking because I swerved very quickly after hearing the alarm. Truth be told, I'm not sure if it did brake that it would have stopped me in time. Problem is it's not something you want to test out. I'd be interested in seeing a car crash test with dummies to verify its...
Yeah, I love the virtual engine/transmission shifting sounds generated in Sport mode. Hats off to the engineer who planted a bit of fun in Sport.
I don't know about rigging up a stopper. Seems more trouble and/or risk of screwing something up. But, knowing the Maverick Maniacs here, someone is...

Is this for cosmetic purposes or are you trying to give more protection against door dings? Could be both, right?
The Maverick's does take a bit of getting used to. I've noticed that after 3 years of use, I have a sixth sense of what gear I'm using. It would help if the shifter's ratchet effect would come to a stop. That way I would be able sense the number of clicks.
Thank you! I try to keep in mind that the car in front of me (especially if it's the first one at the intersection) is just making sure no one is running their red light. Happening all too often lately.
